Beach, Baptism and BBQ

25th January 2009

"But when they believed the good news (the Gospel) about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) as Philip preached it, they were baptised, both men and women." - Acts 8:12 (Amplified)

Tony (33), Veronica (16), Tegan (12), and Jesse (7)...
...they heard, they believed, and they were baptised! AWESOME!!

Black(eby) is back!

18 January 2009

Today we welcomed back long time (and maybe long suffering, ha ha) friend of Chad, Chris Blackeby.

We were kept on the edge of our seats as secrets were revealed about Chad's bucks night, and how Chris has been set free from the "fear of hairy werewolves" whilst enduring shared housing with Chad.

Even more edgy though was the Word shared with us on "A Tale of Two Sons"; and with such classic lines as "Jesus wants babes", you won't want to miss this!

Jesus Culture, 2009

15-17 January 2009

A handful of our "younger" crew flew the coup and made their way to the "Jesus Culture" conference in Melbourne, Victoria. It was hosted by Christian City Church Whitehorse and was led by the "Jesus Culture" team from Redding, California, USA.
Check out more about the Jesus Culture team here and their church here.

About 300 under 35's joined together in an awesome time of worship and teaching under the anointing of this amazing team. The JC team ministered in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and taught on how to walk in/use those gifts faithfully and with boldness. It was both a time of training and impartation. As opportunity arose, people were encouraged to walk in the things learned/imparted throughout the conference and to reach people with Jesus through these "God encounters".

2009: First Things First

4th January 2009

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:26

At a time when we are reflecting on the year behind us, and redefining priorities for the days ahead; let's make it our "new year's resolution" to put first things first; Jesus and our relationship with Him.

Chad preached on 'First Things First' and touched on these points:
* The Pursuit of His Presence (the Person of Jesus)
* The Protection of Our Hearts
* The Preciousness of His People
* The Privilege of Partnership

Bayside's Got Talent....Or has it?

7 December 2008

Unlike buried treasure, some talent really should just remain hidden! ;)

With candid appearances from the local "Sister Act" and the not so infamous "Bayside Wiggles", as well as clay animation and even some classic poetry about the great Aussie icon; 'the dunny', it was a spectacular event for all.

"A merry heart does good like medicine...." - Proverbs 17:22
Well, we all took our dose of giggles on the day and look forward to possibly another Bayside's Got Talent in 2009, Lord willing.

Welcome to Mal and Mon!

November 2008

Though rather belated, as of November 2008, we are privileged to welcome Malcolm and Monica Munro to Victor Harbor and to the Bayside family.

Mal and Moni (formerly of Coastlands International, O'Halloran Hill) have followed God's call to come and help facilitate the Creative Ministries Team at Bayside.

We are all excited about the future the Father has for them personally and as part of the Bayside family. Mal and Moni you are an answer to our prayers!
